This new game due out in November 2008 is a completely new style of sonic game drawing on the best bits of the past.

Just a quick look at Sonic Unleashed's screenshots and it's easy to get excited, not just because of it's stunning sunny looks but because they hint at what Sonic fans have been wanting - a return to it's 2D side-on roots.

The story consists 2/3rds classic run and jump sequences and the other third centering around
Adventure style story driving actions - when day turns to night Sonic's new Warehog form comes out to play etc.

This game is going to be very popular.
